What it fails to mention is that some estimates of Iraqi civilian casualties are as high as 1,455,590.

Afghan civilian casualties are more difficult to estimate, but the United Nations recently reported that civilian casualties in Afghanistan are worse than ever.  Almost 1500 civilians were killed in the first six months of this year, a 15% increase from the same time last year, the highest numbers yet in the now decade-long war to kill the now-dead Osama bin Laden.

And of course there are more casualties, in Pakistan and places like Lebanon and Gaza where the bloodletting is done by others with tacit American approval.

But there probably wasn’t enough room for all of that…
