There’s a piece in the “On Faith” section of today’s Washington Post, where John Hagee proclaims his hopes and concerns for Obama. Of course, he includes this bit of bovine excrement: “When it comes to our ally Israel, one of my chief concerns…”
To which I posted the following comment:
The dirty little secret about why these pulpit-pounders like Hagee love Israel so much is that they all get filthy rich off of the end-times flim-flam fantasies they sell so well. The Israeli PR machine exploits America’s unrequited yearning for Armageddon by giving these shameless hucksters free vacations to the “Holy Land” (and who knows what else)…
It probably won’t change anything, but I feel better for having said it…
